Once upon a dreamer

When I was much younger, I had DREAMS! Dreams to be everything in this life. I wanted to be a doctor, lawyer, banker all at the same time. This decision wasn't all instantenous. It was influenced by a lot of factors.
When my dad took me to the bank at age 8, I came out of the bank wanting to study accounting. This idea died the day my Dad took me to High Court Benin, I started imagining myself on the robe and a wig. Then again, I heard someone saying she studied theology. Alas, I wanted to be a theologian until I consulted my dictionary and I quickly buried that dream.

The perks of been a preachers wife.

It happened few days ago!
I got lost and I needed help. My husband and I had just moved into a new city and I was still trying to know my way round. I met this lady standing alongside the road probably waiting for a ride I thought. Since she was aptly dressed and looked like one of those with their senses intact, I asked for her help.
She obliged!
We instantly found common ground so the conversation picked up, moving at lightning speed through the usual questions:

Heart closed! Try again later.

Guarding your heart and closing your heart are two different
things. Some people seem to think guarding your heart means
protecting yourself from getting hurt. Well the only way you
can protect yourserlf from getting hurt is a coffin. If you're
walking and breathing guess what? You will get hurt. If you are
in ministry guess what? You will get hurt. There is no way out
of it. Loving people will get you hurt. When we start guarding
our hurts  we can run the risk of closing our hearts to the
people that matter the most.

Let me tell you about the dominion convention.

When I first heard about the Dominion convention I was so excited. I am always excited about church programmes. I made plans, readjusted my schedule and I almost didn’t go because I had a lot to deal with that weekend. But thank God I made the right decision. Even though I missed the first day because of one kain exam like that , the next two days was da bomb.

Before kids I used to love doing surprises for my husband. It was a great way to grow our relationship and have fun at the same time. Sometimes I even thought I liked these surprises (that I prepared) more than he did. Typical.

Lessons from my near death experience.

I really can’t recall when I started getting the premonition of death. But I think it all started when l lost a friend and suddenly fear gripped my heart for weeks and the feeling of “we are not safe anymore” was all over me. I didn’t tell anyone I had this thought even my bff just for a single reason

The day I visited a psychic

Sometime in April, my class had a field trip to the centre for psychic and healing administration 'CPHA' in awka. The aim was to enable us appreciate the importance of herbal drugs in contemporary medicine.
It was an informative one until the facilitator started telling us some weird stories and attributed it to herbal medicine even though I thought jazz was involved.
