A taste of freedom

Ever seen a rat, its tail trapped beneath your feet?

How it scrams when you set it free.

Its relief no one can surely beat,

That it's been saved, by mercy's spree.

I could tell of a teenage child,

Every authority he fights,

Cos' by no one's rule he wants to abide,

Once past his teen he will take a flight.

Is the taste as sweet as honey?

A spoon of freedom hated by nobody

Though sometimes served with rustic ale,

Is taken by all, even the frail.

Not even money and Jewelry,

Is as priceless in any form,

Just ask the prisoner and he'll tell you clearly,

He'll do anything to have a taste of freedom.
