Recently i learnt from Gbile Akanni that when a man prays for/about his wife, he should actually pray like he is praying for himself. Before God, they are one flesh. He should say "Visit me with the fruit of the womb", "Father, give me healing and relief from menstrual cramps" or "Help me overcome bad temper/harsh tongue". His wife's challenges are not just hers, they are his as well. Same goes for a woman too. This will not just bring speedy divine intervention but will birth compassion in the heart of one towards the struggles of his spouse.
Family or personal problems become overwhelming for couples when they fight against each other instead of together against the challenge. Scriptures cannot be broken. A home divided against itself cannot stand. It is not good for a man to be alone in his life's battles. One shall chase a thousand and two shall chase ten thousand. Team up and fight character problems, unemployment, poverty, barrenness, prodigal children, lack of destiny productivity and other pressures facing each other. If you lay aside selfishness and swallow your pride then you will discover that truly two are better than one.
Meanwhile, hope you know that the Kendrick brothers (producers of Facing the Giants, Fireproof and my personal favourite, Courageous) have released another movie? As expected, it also focuses on the family and it is titled WAR ROOM! The trailer is on Youtube and it promises to be another out of this world blockbuster! Join the wait and please if you lay hold of it kindly share with me. We must win in these marriage matters!
N.B: If you are a married man/woman and you haven't seen Fireproof and Courageous, what then have you been watching?
The Gbile Akanni message i referred to is also on Youtube and it is titled: HOW TO BE A REAL HUSBAND.

Aww! The understanding of being one flesh is still lost on some people, hence the high rate of divorce.
