The Encounter

Two friends,

Two lives,

Two destiny,

Different background.

Tunde, popularly called ‘PK’(preachers kid) has heard the message of grace all his life. He knew about the love of God and his mercy and was always telling his colleaques about it. But, his lifestyle left little to be desired. When cautioned he will be heard saying “ where sin abound, grace did much more abound”.

Tunji also well known amongst his friend says he’s a free thinker. His philosophy in life is “ do not miss any moment of pleasure no matter how small or dangerous” . No one cared about him because he always says” there is no God”. Again no one knew he said this because he lost his parents at a young age and has since been dealt life blows but somehow manage to survive with means known only to him.

Today.

Both paths crossed again not as it did when they became fast friends some years ago but in a more remarkable way this time around. They heard the message of REPENTANCE. That grace is not a license for sin but a cure for it.

And like the woman with the alabaster box, they wept, dropped their pitcher and surrendered. And the only words that escaped their lips as they surrendered at the altar was “ lord I humble myself under your mighty hand”
