A patient had postnatal psychosis. She nearly killed her 3 month old baby. We see this all the time in the movies but listening to her share her experience made it even more real. Working with the mentally Unstable patients opened my eyes to a reality we all deny - Depression. And worse is, there are no adequate support systems in place.

Relax! God gots you.
I lost my mom six years ago, an incident I don’t like talking nor writing about. But this incident caused a profound change in the lives of everyone in the family. Fear still grips my heart whenever my sister uses mom as her display picture on social media. Every one of us still has her as our desktop background on our Pc’s. It’s that hard to let go.

How a Nigerian Tailor Saved my life
The dress for my sister's trad was ready a month to the wedding. That was how bad l wanted to escape any tailor giving me gist of na only hand remain wey l never sew.
Few days to the wedding, something whispered to me 'since people are saying you have added weight, try your dress again'
I did
And it didn't fit.

Year of Yes.
But it’s the idea that I’m not measuring up that gets me. I’m constantly worrying and wondering and feeling like I am failing because everywhere I look, everyone else seems to be thriving. The women around me are smiling and their kids are smiling and their houses seem clean and it all looks so great on Pinterest and Instagram and Facebook . . .Shonda Rhimes

The CP's Diary 4
The first day he came to the pharmacy, he made my colleague talk for over 15 minutes and didn't buy anything. Maybe that's why l remember him or Maybe its because l saw his fingers all bent backwards except his thumbs.
Every week, he comes to refill his prescription, l would dispense the Drugs, take a look at his fingers and move on. Every week, and l wondered if it had anything to do with his health.

Nysc Chronicles : My trip to Kebbi
When I got my call up letter, first thing I did was look up people travelling from Benin to Kebbi. And I did that on Instagram and Facebook.
I later went to the park to find out which actually turned out to be the easiest for me.
The journey from Benin to Kebbi took 20 hours, that was the longest journey in my life.

NYSC Chronicles : My call up letter
Kebbi!
(screams)
Kebbi!!
(screams)
Kebbi!!!
(screams)
This was my exact reaction when I saw my call up letter.
Kebbi state? My God! Who did I offend? I cried!
I cried more when I went online and the only positive review l saw was that the camp was fine and had good light.
I didn't find it funny. I still don't.
The journey from Benin to kebbi took me 20 hours, all passengers were Corp members so it kinda made the trip fun.
